Happy New Year!!As we head into the new year that means new beginnings, ideas, and goals to take on. It can be rather exciting starting out the new year. There is this feeling that comes through the cold fridgid air, telling you to write a new story for this next year. You get to start on a fresh new slate. Here are some ideas to think about: Take care of you, physically, mentally and spiritually. I am a firm believer in self reliance. You have to have yourself in a good place and taken care of before you can help others, or else it can be hard to give to others. I, like the majority of the population, set a physical goal. Starting the new year with some workouts is a great way to get my mind and body on the right track. I love the way I feel after a work out. Being a lash artist, my back and core are constantly being used. It’s my goal to strengthen my body so I can do more things. Click here for a guide on strengthening your core and back. As you are working out you are mentally strengthening yourself too. You are releasing stress and challenging your mentally strength. But what else could you be doing to build your brain power. Read. Did you know Bill Gates reads on his vacation. There is so much power in knowledge. Whether you believe in God, Buddha, or positive thinking, center yourself in it. Great power and strength can come to you when you are centered. In BusinessAs a lash boss, it can be challenging running your own business. Set a big goal and then set little goals to work your way to the big goal. For example if you want to make $5,000.00 each month, you need to make $1,250.00 each week, and if you want to only work 5 days a week, you need to make $250 a day. Then think about how many clients or Fills/full sets you would need to do in order to meet the $250 a day goal. Maybe your business goal isn’t financial… it could be creating a website, writing a blog (like me), or growing in your skill or new skills. Learn something newAs a business owner, it can be nerve racking taking on something new, but it can also expand your mind into new ways of thinking. When I first decided to learn how to do lash extensions, I was excited and I told all of my friends. As I was learning this new skill it was a bit frustrating at times, plus it took more than a few hours to do. I was unsure of starting this new hobby(at the time). After many hours of practicing classic lashes I loved this new skill and soon began to make it a business. The next skill to learn was volume lashes. Oh my goodness! Volume lashes were harder to perform than classic lashes. But now learning that new skill, it has brought so much value to my business. If you are looking to learning how to become a lash artist with applying classic or volume lashes click here. We hope this new year brings peace, joy and prosperity. We love hearing your thoughts. What goals and ideas are you wanting to accomplish this year?
