Deciding a Lash Business name
Your Lovely Lash-Canceled. This was my first Lash business name. I literally couldn’t think of anything for a business name.
Business names are hard to figure out.
I totally get it. I've been there.
Here is the story of how I decided my business name- Ida Jane.
There is Ada Joan, Ana Jean and....
my great grandmother was going into labor with my grandmother. This was to be her 3rd daughter. She had the name Ida Jane picked out. After the little girl was delivered, the nurses convinced my great grandmother, to name her differently.
I was looking for a new business name, other than Your Lovely Lashes, when I heard the story of Ida Jane. I liked the name, so I moved forward with it. The business was created.
At first, I struggled with the name Ida Jane for my Lash extension business... I was constantly explaining to myself and others how it encompassed my business. But if you think about other business names such as Apple, IHOP or Target, none of these names say exactly what the company is.
It was then that I realized Ida Jane is perfect!
Ida Jane is so much more than a name. It is your lash sister teaching you how to do lash extensions, showing you new tips, the struggles and all the lash secrets to help you succeed. Ida Jane is your lash extension sister.
As a Lash Artist, we are typically working alone creating beauty for each of our clients. But you are not alone in this lash industry. You now are a part of a huge lash sister/brother community. Please don't hesitate to reach out. I am here for you and want to hear from YOU!
I now have 2 daughters of my own... Whitney Jane and Cora Jean. One day they too will have Lash extensions (most likely) and will be inspired by the lash sisters before them.
"Sisters function as safety nets in a chaotic world, simply by being there for one another."
