Fall in love with Lyly ADHESIVE

I’ve been keeping this little bottle a secret for far to long. This has been the secret to my faster applications, and better retention.

I love being an artist. A lash artist has the opportunity to create fun, beautiful lashes for clients and mannequins. If we are truly a Lash Artist, Emphasis on Artist, then how can we make our lash products inspiring and fun?!

Lyly (Lee•Lee) Adhesive

I have been using the Lyly adhesive for a year before launching it to the public. I used to only use BB Bond Adhesive, when my manufactures sent me a new sample to test. I was nervous to try a new glue… but I believed I could work with any glue on clients and still have my same great retention.

This glue quickly became my new FAV! It cured faster than the BB Bond, which I was currently using. Thanks to the faster drying time, The Lyly Adhesive allowed me to work faster without having many stickies.

Because I loved it, I had to share it with my sister, Chloe. This lead me to purchasing a small order to test further.

How I test:

• I use it on all of my clients. I want amazing retention for all of them and I know every client differs slightly on Retention.
•  I would use 1 bottle of glue for as long as possible.
• I shared it with some of my closest lash sisters to gain a better insight of how it reacts in other environments and lash skills.

Here’s what i found:

• My clients had great retention, when I used enough glue for my environment and skill. The Lyly adhesive drys extremely fast in humidity 35-55%. If you pick up a small dot it drys in .03 seconds. If you pick a bigger dot of glue on the extension it will dry in .05 seconds roughly. Now if your humidity is lower than 35% then you need to pick up a small amount of glue in order to have a fast dry time. Picking up a bigger dot of glue will take up to 1 full second to dry.

You need to pick up the appropriate amount of glue for your environment and skill. You need to be slow to dip and fast to apply, otherwise you will not have a strong attachment of the extension, to the natural lash, causing in poor retention results.

These photos are not edited to show the real raw retention results. Majority of these clients are volume or YY lashes at 3 weeks, unless stated.

• One bottle of 5ml glue lasted me 5 MONTHS with 20 consistent clients. Because I needed just a slightly bigger dot of glue on my extensions, I thought I would probably go through the glue faster and use the full bottle
OR
The adhesive would expire on me before I used it all.
But neither we’re the case.

I used the 1 bottle of Lyly Adhesive for 5 months with consistency in the chemicals and retention for my clients. (Remember to always shake the bottle for 30 seconds before use).

The only reason I stopped using the bottle is because it fell over on it’s side and wasn’t completely tight. The bottle had glued shut on me.

I was mind blown! 🤯 5 MONTHS & solid RETENTION!!

I knew if this was my results that others need this for their success too.

Beauty all around us

Next I started the branding and designing process.

I new I wanted to feature artists which lead me to contact Paige Payne. @paigpayne_creations
​I love her use of watercolor and spreading joy, love and beauty through her art. This is exactly why I wanted her art featured on our Adhesive.

Watercolor reminds me of the movement in the adhesive. (Though the watercolor is definitely prettier to look at, then black adhesive.)

Lash artists are stuck inside for many hours at a time. I wanted to bring the beauty of outside to them. Plus, who doesn’t feel loved when someone brings them flowers. I love receiving flowers. And ice cream… hah

I wish I was able to deliver flowers to your beautiful lash room to share my joy and love. Since I’m not able to deliver a stunning vase, I hope the artwork Paige has created will fill your lash room with joy and love.
