Content to post when you are a lash artist-Tips

Do you share it on your Instagram story or just on Tik Tok? It can be confusing knowing what to share and what not to share on your social media for your lash account. Heck !… it can be challenging knowing what to post…

Do you know what to post?
Or
What caption to put with it??
Sometimes it can be a real struggle with social media… figuring out what to post, what caption to say, when to post it… etc.

I started my lash business when Instagram just started. Honestly, I used Instagram just as a portfolio for my lash business. I had no idea what to post or say other than D curl .20 11-14mm! The horror! It’s like nails on a chalkboard now.

It wasn’t until I understood my ideal client that I knew what I should be posting and what to say in my captions. I also understood what was best for my stories verses posts.

You see, right now I am a lash brand looking to connect with lash artists. Lash artists are my ideal client. It’s important to niche down even more and know every detail about your ideal client/target audience.

If you are a lash artist looking to gain more clients, then your ideal client is not a lash artist-like mine, yours is a lash client. Everyone can be a lash client… it’s true!

Who is your ideal/favorite client ever? If you could clone 100 of that client, would it make lashing more enjoyable? That’s your ideal client. Know all the details about her/them and what they love or need from your services.

How you can reach more of your ideal client is by speaking directly to them and sharing that you can help them.

Lash clients need to see:
  1. Who you are. Share pictures of you and your family on your social media.
  2. Your location set up. What does your lash set up look like or building look like. They want to have an idea of where they are coming to rid of any anxiety they may have, going to a new place.
  3. Your personality. You make your business different because no one is like you. People want more of you and want to enjoy your great personality. Share about yourself so they can relate and create a friendship via social media.
  4. Reviews/ testimonials. Referrals are the best way to make your business grow. But when someone is new to the area and has zero friends, then reading a review is a great referral for them to see.
  5. Tips about lashes or aftercare. Clients can be intrigued about lash extensions. You are the lash expert and can show that you are the best expert in your area by informing your clients on lash tips or aftercare.
  6. Before and afters of a clients face. Clients will connect with full face pictures, seeing how the lashes look on the clients on the daily. Full face lash pictures. Not behind the chair pictures.
  7. Behind the scenes. Share information or fun insights about what it’s like for you behind the scenes. Maybe behind the scenes is turning the lights on and getting your day started in your lash room, or how you sanitize your lash tools/room.
  8. Share what services you offer and how it can make a difference for them. What benefits them? If you don’t actively talk about your services then they don’t know about your services or products available to them. It’s not you being salesy. It’s you being a good sister by sharing things that may help them in their every day.
  9. Have a call to action. What is the purpose of the post… to gain trust and engagement by using your branding pillars or to create a sale/lead? Branding pillars were talked about here in our past blog. You can use your branding pillars as core values you are sharing on social media via posts or stories. This will gain trust and relationships with your ideal client and will help you sale, so have a call to action like “Dm me “Volume lashes” if you would like a look like this” or a call to action of engagement on a post.

I love seeing more about others in their daily stories. It’s like pulling back the curtain to see even more about them and their personality.

If you know your ideal client and have a social media strategy, then knowing what to post and say should be easy.
